Scott works hard. He works too hard. You would think that because he works for himself from home he could schedule in some fun or a party whenever he felt like it. You would be wrong. Sometimes my kids ask where dad has been. As in for days. Then they are shocked to hear he has been locked up in his office only inches from their pounding feet and hollering voices. Thankfully this goes in cycles and is not the permanent state of affairs. This has been a topic of conversation around here lately, since October marks the end of tax extension deadlines and such. Riley (or Caitlin..sorry, it's true...sometimes they meld into one) was asking me when their dad got to retire and Dallin announced the other day that he won't be a CPA when he grows up so he'll have time to carve Jack o Lanterns. Now before you get the wrong idea, Scott had a good day of football watching with the boys and is now taking them ALL on a walk to grandma's. He's a good dad. Which is why I'm glad for this tag...
1. Where did you meet your husband? In college. He was on a date with my step aunt (she's my age).
2. How long did you date before you got married? We were friends for about 3 years. I think we dated for about a year or so of that.
3. How long have you been married? 12 years
4. What does he do that surprises you? There have been a lot. The biggest one is probably that he likes horses so much.
5. What is your favorite feature of his? His eyes. And his shoulders.
6. What is his best quality? He's good to my mom. And I think he really would do just about anything I asked. (Sometimes it just takes a few times) :)
7. Does he have a nickname for you? Not really. Sometimes Lay. As in Lay la. Come on people.
8. What is his favorite food? Anything involving pasta
9. What is his favorite sport? Hmmmm. To watch probably basketball. To play probably baseball. Or maybe basketball. I could be wrong. He likes all of it.
10. When and where did you first kiss? In a car after a date. I don't remember what we did, I remember that he kissed me though. I was surprised.
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Going running together, or skiing or anything at this point. It seems to usually involve kids these days. We go running several times a week though and I love that.
12. Do you have any children? 5
13. Does he have any hidden talents? Yes, he can draw anything, he never gets lost, he's freakishly strong (he'll like that one...) and is a good cook. And he's smart but that's not hidden :)
14. How old is he? 36
15. Who said 'I love you' first? He did
16. What is his favorite music? I think now it's country. That's what's always on in his car before I change it...
17. What do you admire most about him? He's really, really good on the inside. He's much better than me in that way.
18. What is his favorite color? ???? Don't think he has one.
19. Will he read this? Maybe I'll leave this on the screen. Then maybe.
20. Who do you tag? whoever reads this.
